Its definitely been a while since i wrote last. This summer was so challenging, but so amazing at the same time. God works in mysterious ways, and he is always surprising me.
As i settle back in Calgary, i am also preparing for something God is calling me to do. God has called me to serve in Tijuana Mexico at the Purple Palace, an Orphanage in the red light district. Can you imagine? I cannot even believe that im doing this. Little Bree, going to TIJUANA TO LIVE AT AN ORPHANAGE!! Im actually in shock. Not that i wont love it, because i will, i know i will love it, i love Kids, and i have a passion for mending brokeness, but its crazy! To go from Grade 12 at a nice high school, working at Gull Lake to MEXICO.
God knows what he's doing, cause the only thing i know is that i leave end of september and i will return close to Christmas.
Scott Cripps called me today to encourage me, and he couldn't have called at a better time!
I really needed to hear his words of encouragement, and to hear that his family * ahem* my family missed me. Sometimes all you need is a phone call.
This is going to be a crazy ride, but i have my helmet on, and im ready to go.Or am i ?

You blogged! I've been faithfully checking your blog every week or so in hopes that you would post a new entry. Finally it happened! Thanks for brightening my day.
I'm so proud of you for stepping outside your comfort zone and following God's guidance - all the way down to Mexico. You have so many gifts and talents that God will put to excellent use down there at the Purple Palace! You are so gentle and wonderful with kids. You also have the ability to instill joy in everyone you come into contact with.
As you prepare and head down to Mexico, remember that you are not alone. I am praying for you and know that God will provide you with all the strength, guidance and courage that you need. He is able to do more than we can ask or imagine!!! Love you!
Wow Bree, that's awesome! I'm so glad you are maintaining your passion for the children of this world and letting God take you wherever His will leads you, especially back to a special place in your past. So proud of you.
